The chief executive of Harrogate and Ripon Centres for Voluntary Service (HARCVS) - the organisation with the biggest overview of voluntary activities delivered in our district - said it has never been more important to look out for our neighbours and those most vulnerable, including the elderly population.

Harrogate business took just £13.50 in one day as coronavirus fears take hold

Charities which sit under the umbrella of HARCVS include the Harrogate Easier Living Project, which delivers a wide range of projects to help older and vulnerable people stay safe and well at home, and maintain their independence.
